6 years ago I had ZERO CLUE that what we put ON our body matters just as much as what we put IN it. I believed that because I was eating healthy, working out, and doing lots of personal growth that I had my health dialed in.
I was missing something HUGE.
When I learned the personal care industry is unregulated and it's been over 80 years since a federal law has been passed to govern it - I could never unlearn this fact!! The US also allows significantly more harmful ingredients in our products than the EU and Canada and WE CAN DO BETTER.
When we know better we do better!
I joined this mission to be a voice for change, to help women look and feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside, and to lead a community of women who are committed to living with impact. I have since quit my successful medical sales career to do this work and run my coaching business with flexibility and freedom.

Beauty Should Be Good For You
Beautycounter isn’t just a disruptive beauty brand. We are a movement for making the beauty industry better. My team is made up of about 400 women and men from very diverse backgrounds all working towards the same common goal!
We are a direct-to-consumer B Corp whose mission is to transform the entire personal care industry so that everyone has access to safe, transparent products.
We do that in 3 ways:
Advocacy
The United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938. Currently, the US only has banned 30 ingredients while the EU is over 1400. We advocate at a local and federal level for stricter guidelines and regulations to shift the personal- care industry away from using harmful and questionable ingredients.
Education
It starts with consumer awareness. We educate people about how to avoid harmful ingredients and empower them to choose safer. As a Beautycounter Consultant, you have the opportunity to build a financially rewarding business while making a significant social impact for future generations.
Product
We’ve prohibited the use of more than 1,800 questionable or harmful chemicals through the The Never List™ , all while prioritizing performance! Our cosmetic, body, and skincare products perform and “they’re as indulgent as any other luxe shampoo, lipstick, or oil in the market.” In fact we have become a leader in innovation and performance in the entire beauty industry
